Robert Hartshorne, a Partner since 1974, has extensive Jury and Judge Alone Trial experience. Robert’s practice has been in Complex Personal Injury, Personal and Commercial General Liability Insurance Litigation, Coverage and Defence, Major Property Damage and Multi- party Litigation, Estate Litigation, Employment Law, and Manufacturer’s Products Liability.

Throughout his career Robert  has a track record for setting legal precedents.  Amongst other things, he introduced the first claim for Social Host Liability in legal proceedings in British Columbia, he issued the first Conspiracy to Defraud Civil Action for Staged Motor Vehicle Accidents and he set numerous precedents in the area of Insurance Coverage.  Over the years, Robert has lectured on numerous topics for Continuing Legal Education and for Insurance Examiners,  including, Social Host Liability, Jury Trials, Future Care, Jury Trial Practice and Admissibility of Scientific Evidence.

Robert is a well respected Counsel who has exceptional legal credentials and whose approach with clients alleviates any concerns they may have in dealing with the legal system.  Robert has an extensive 30 year history with many clients.  He truly enjoys the practice of law and is passionate about advocating for his clients. When Robert is not practicing law he spends his free time playing golf, riding motorcycles and travelling with family.
